do you believe everything the media and photographs tell you to believe?
if so, this is a post that isn't for you.
[also, I went with the autocomplete in the image, which is why Nicola's name is spelled incorrectly in the search, jsyk]
I wanted to call out that the first three top stories links on Google have Nicola Coughlan linked to Jake Dunn. Each link is to a news source that has no credible source to rely on. Terms such as "rumored"; "seem to confirm" and "believed to be" are used. One of the stories claims to have reached out to Nicola's and Jake's teams for comment, but there's no mention of any responses.
I think it's interesting to note that while the first paragraph or so of each of these articles summarize what's been photographed of Jake and Nicola – which I would argue are moments between friends, much like her interactions with Luke Thompson, Jack Rooke, and Mark Peacock – but aren't able to state anything more in the articles. The articles then diverge into information and previously quoted material from Coughlan about her relationship with who? Luke Newton. Because that's the only relationship she's ever openly spoken about to media sources.
We can continue to split microscopic hairs, but Nicola has never directly answered the question of whether she's solely friends with Luke Newton. She cleverly walks around the question, in the hopes that many will just assume she's friends and nothing more. Which is what a lot of people are doing. And that's their prerogative to do so.
In doing further reading about PR practices, I ran across a post from The Chi Group that discussed a couple of ways that public figures work to combat misinformation about them without making explicit statements:
"Pinning Corrective Posts: Pinning a correction or accurate update to the top of a social media profile can ensure that followers see the correct information first."
Okay, so what does Nicola have pinned to her Instagram post? Her own achievements in the media spheres as of late, where she noticeably mentions Luke Newton, even when it isn't within an ideal context to do so. And as always, the Bridgerton Season 3 promo post. Nothing about relationships or anything hinting to a connection with Jake Dunn.
"Search engine optimization (SEO) is a powerful tool in ensuring that accurate information surfaces in search results, rather than misleading or false content. PR professionals can optimize their content by:
Using Relevant Keywords: Including keywords that users might search when looking for information on a topic can help ensure that accurate content appears in search results.
Publishing on Authoritative Websites: Contributing articles or guest blogs to reputable sites can boost the visibility and credibility of the accurate narrative.
Regularly Updating Content: Keeping web pages updated with the latest information ensures that search engines recognize the content as current and relevant, helping it rank higher."
So the SEO is pushing Jake and Nicola together here in regards to relationship searching, and where Luke Newton has scrubbed SEO information linking him to Antonia, Nicola hasn't done that. I don't think she feels the need when, as stated above, the articles can't seem to gather much about her and Jake Dunn in the first place and revert back to talking about her 'gorgeous' relationship with Luke Newton.
Re: publishing on authoratative websites. The first three sources are from People Magazine, Yahoo reposting an article from Glamour, and The Sun. I certainly don't turn to these outlets for authoritative news, and I hope you don't either.
Re: regularly updating content. Can you point me in the direction of any content published by Nicola Coughlan's social media accounts that provides the latest information about her and Jake Dunn?
I rest my case.

Well, it's for a school research paper and we have to gather data on how social media affects stress and people's mental health.
Thank you for answering my dumbass questions even though it probably seems stupid, i really appreciate it
First off, asking for help on finding sources is not stupid/dumbass, it's the opposite. Smart people ask for help when they don't know what they're doing.
Second, since you said school and not uni, I'm going to assume you're at high school level roughly and not uni/college. If so, then google scholar is going to be a fine starting point for you to find sources. It's generally user friendly and going to provide decently quality for what you need.
Unlike main google, it's been untouched by the AI nonsense and functions mostly like it did 5 years ago. It's also handy because it will often provide free copies of papers when it can find one. It should help you get some good research papers as sources that you can use as citations, and it'll let you save articles/handles citations for you.
Here's a quick guide for what you need to know to use google scholar!
When searching, put in keywords, NOT questions.
For reasons unclear to me, search engines and humans being weird has trained people to type in queries to search engines like questions. This is bad!!! It will get you worse results!! You want to instead remove any unnecessary words and focus in on giving the computer the most unique keywords to match you with what you actually want. For example:
BAD: how does social media affect stress and mental health?
BETTER: social media stress effect mental health
BEST: social media mental health
You really want to par down your keywords as much as possible, limiting connector or filler unless you absolutely need it. The more specific words you use (ie using "depression" rather than the more general "mental health") the more specific your results. Focus on practicing that and you'll do excellent.
With that out of the way, for actual google scholar use:
Right here, we have a very important feature, the free copy. If google can pull up a free public copy of a paper, it will! Always use those when possible.
Always check the date on the research you're pulling! For a topic like social media, I would be wary of pulling any source that's 5 years or older, since it's an evolving landscape! For other topics, the rules vary a lot depending on the topic and quality of research available.
Next up, saving & citation. The save button lets you save an article for later. You can stick it on a particular list. Handy for keeping track of sources. The cite button generates citations for you, in most of the common styles. Saves you having to mess with making them yourself.
Finally! Further research! When you click down here, you can see articles that have cited this paper and related articles. Both are quite handy for exploring a particular topic further as you look for research that builds on what you've found. Particularly when the area you're looking at is niche or highly specific. Also a great way to find systematic reviews of data that are sometimes a bit stubborn about showing up in research results.
Hopefully all of that is helpful, best of luck on your paper anon!

Is there much of a difference between a digital media degree and a game design degree when it comes to applying for jobs within the gaming sector?
Or is it dependent on the role you are applying for?
There is a difference between having a degree and not having one in a relevant field, but it isn't as important as one might think. The kind of degree you hold really only matters for the initial application round, where the recruiters sift through all of the applications and decide who gets callbacks and who gets dropped. This is because, realistically, we can't call every applicant back for each open position. Large studios like Blizzard or Riot often have literal hundreds of applications for open positions, and calling everyone back would take an army of recruiters.
This means that recruiters are reliant on the presence of certain keywords in the resume/CV for that candidate to pass to the next round. "BA in Game Design" ticks a box that "BA in Digital Media" likely won't, though the kind of degree is only one of many keywords we're looking for. We're ultimately looking for candidates who can do the work that the job entails - cinematic designer, gameplay programmer, texture artist, associate producer, QA engineer, and so on. The degree is an indicator that a candidate might be able to do the job, but is not a full guarantee - that's what the additional rounds of interviewing and testing are for.
As such, I encourage job seekers to tailor their resume/CV to the role they are applying for - the descriptions of any project and work experience should show how those experiences would carry over to the job that we're hiring for. This should both maximize the chances of keyword hits as well as persuade the humans who read the resume/CV that you're a good fit for the position because you already know how to do the work and have been doing similar work in the past.
If any of you out there want specific assistance with your resume/CV, I would heavily suggest joining our discord server and asking, or reaching out to me privately via TwitterX or Bluesky. There are many experienced developers (including hiring managers) on our Discord who can provide resume/CV advice, and I've done a lot of resume/CV reviews personally as well (both as a hiring manager and for the readers of my blog). [Click here for an example of a CV review] I did for an entry-level gameplay programmer. If you don't want your stuff made public, you don't have to. I promise we'll still help you with the CV.

storytime :3 there was this other private in the program who used to come in to our quarters to "play bumble", where he would provide real time commentary on the girls he came across on the app
each and every time he would ask us whether we are a butt or a boob guy, and each and every time i didnt answer bc 1) why does he care, 2) i didnt want to go into how im into secret third and fourth and so on and so forth things, 3) i knew he was only asking bc he wanted to talk about himself. then he would declare, unprompted, that he has an ass fetish. what an embarassing to say
the comments he made were interesting too: any display of personality got a negative one. for example one time he got *really* upset bc this girl used a pic of her get ploughed while skiing, not understanding why would anyone release smth this embarassing to the public. (this obsession with self value is a foreshadowing...) the way he talked about them just screamed insecurity, he seemed like the type of guy who seeked women who defaulted to submission bc he didnt have it in him to dominate them, let alone be comfortable with them being equal. he wasnt comfortable with anyone being his equal: you could be above or below, both a source of ego
he came from a wealthy family with a 0-24 maid, 8 horses, a manor and stuff, and had an undiagnosed narcisistic personality disorder... [diagnosed by none other than me (^_^)] theres a whole different story here which i wont get into. either way he had very high (but fluctuating) ambitions and some serious delusions of grandieur. however every time he had the chance to prove himself he failed miserably, and these failures never registered in him, by the day after he allways had an answer which he fully believed. it was clear that he had a mental wall there, it wasnt just a lie
anyways the situation got so bad with him that we, privates in the same program as him, were asked to write anonymous letters for him and he was asked to write letters for us, he then had to read these out loud in front of us while holding a mirror in front of himself. the keywords were supposed to be: respect and camaradery. he chose to open his with: "what is the definition of camaradery? i have no idea", then went on to talk for a full page about how he is too much of an individualist opportunist and likes glamour and humanity way too much to be happy here, and how he is disillusioned of the army... not a smart move when your on trial in front of soldiers. for context this whole affair was bc he got us multiple week's worth of collective punishment, he just didnt understand it. another mental wall
this was an amazing opportunity for me to utilize both my creative writing skills and my tendency for verbal agression. the letter i wrote was only 4-5 sentence long but multiple people not present here congratulated me on it bc the junior officer lady responsible for this whole affair showed it around. what a shitshow this whole thing was
after this he didnt dare to talk to me for a good 2-3 weeks and went full speak-only-when-youre-spoken-to. everybody in the company despised him, rumour was that when he arrived he was so arrogant that they made him cry and bullied the hell out of him

AI replacing "racist" with "Trump"
So Apple currently has this bug where when you type "racist" and it thinks your typing "Trump". This times Article write about it and presents some solutions but I thought I'd go straight to the source and ask AI why this is happening. Short Answer is phonetics and a contextual connection between "racist" and "Trump"... um not surprised. Full chat here.
Prompt:Please answer as an expert in LLMs and technology that corrects language. Can you give me five technical explanations that likely expalin the behavior descibed in phones in this article
Answer:
Here are five technical explanations that could explain the behavior described in the article:
Phonetic Overlap and Auto-Correction Algorithms: Apple's automatic dictation feature likely uses a phonetic algorithm to transcribe spoken words into text. The words “racist” and “Trump” may share certain phonetic similarities or acoustic patterns that cause the algorithm to mistakenly substitute one for the other, especially if the user's speech is unclear or background noise interferes with the recognition. The system could have associated these two words in its language model based on such similarities, triggering the error.
Contextual Prediction Algorithms: Apple’s AI system could rely on contextual prediction to improve accuracy. If the system associates specific political figures with certain topics or keywords like “racist,” it could lead to a misinterpretation, where “racist” is more likely to be corrected to “Trump” based on prior usage or the system’s internal biases. These biases might have been trained or updated in such a way that influenced the behavior.
Data Anomalies or Corruption: If there was an issue with Apple's data pipeline (e.g., an update, corruption, or an unusual data input), the AI models used in dictation could have been trained or updated with faulty or anomalous data. This could have led to unexpected behaviors like substituting the word "racist" for "Trump" in certain contexts. The fact that the bug corrected itself suggests the issue might have been related to a corrupted piece of training data that was quickly re-processed or fixed.
Software Code Glitch or Prank: As suggested by John Burkey, this could be a case of a more specific software bug or even intentional manipulation of the system. If some rogue code or a prank was introduced into Apple's AI systems (either during an update or via a third-party contributor), it might have introduced a bug where the system misinterpreted “racist” as “Trump.” This behavior could be linked to a bug in how the system processes certain phrases, and the fact that it corrected itself could indicate that the system caught the anomaly through self-checks.
Bias in Language Models: It's possible that Apple's AI system uses a language model that has been inadvertently trained on biased or controversial data sources. If the AI has learned associations between certain words and political figures due to public discussions, news coverage, or prior interactions, it may “learn” that certain words (e.g., “racist”) are more commonly associated with specific individuals (e.g., “Trump”). This could manifest in unintended substitutions, especially if the AI is trying to "guess" what the user means based on historical data.
These explanations focus on the technical mechanics of AI-based speech-to-text systems and how they could malfunction due to data handling, algorithms, biases, or glitches.
Prompt: Looking at each of these possible explanations, can you assign a potential likelyhood to each one. I'm trying to figure out what is most likely
Answer:
Certainly! Here’s an assessment of the likelihood for each explanation based on the details provided in the article:
Phonetic Overlap and Auto-Correction Algorithms Likelihood: Medium to High Phonetic overlap between words like “racist” and “Trump” is a plausible explanation for a speech-to-text error. Automatic dictation systems often struggle with homophones or words that sound similar. Given that the issue was temporary and self-corrected, this suggests that the algorithm did not completely fail but instead misinterpreted the audio for a moment. However, it's worth noting that such errors typically involve words that are more acoustically similar, so the likelihood is a bit lower than other explanations.
Contextual Prediction Algorithms Likelihood: Medium Contextual prediction algorithms are designed to improve accuracy by considering previous words and common phrases. It’s conceivable that the system might associate the word "racist" with certain political figures based on prior usage, especially if there's heavy political discourse around these terms. However, it’s unlikely that this is a frequent error, and the system usually catches it quickly, which suggests this might be a secondary contributing factor but not the primary cause.
Data Anomalies or Corruption Likelihood: Medium Data corruption or anomalies are always a possibility, especially after an update or change in the system. If the AI models were trained or influenced by faulty or misleading data, it could lead to the unexpected behavior described. Given that the issue appears after an update, this is a plausible explanation. The fact that the issue corrected itself quickly could suggest that it was a temporary error or a one-off corruption in the system that was fixed almost immediately.
Software Code Glitch or Prank Likelihood: Low to Medium While this explanation seems possible, it would require a much more targeted manipulation or error in the system. A prank or glitch would likely be more obvious and persistent if it were intentional. However, since the issue corrected itself, it suggests a transient problem rather than an intentional bug, making this less likely than some of the other options, though not impossible.
Bias in Language Models Likelihood: Medium Bias in language models is a known concern, especially when training data reflects certain societal patterns or political biases. Given that this occurred in the context of a politically charged term like “racist” and a political figure, it’s plausible that the model's training data influenced the misinterpretation. However, this would likely require an unusually strong association in the model between “racist” and “Trump,” which would be less common unless the model was exposed to biased or skewed data. Still, this remains a potential factor in the mix.
Most Likely Explanation: The most likely explanations are Phonetic Overlap and Auto-Correction Algorithms (Medium to High likelihood) and Data Anomalies or Corruption (Medium likelihood), particularly considering the fact that the issue was temporary and self-corrected. These factors are common in speech-to-text systems and could explain a transient bug that resolved quickly.
Prompt:Can you explain in more detail the phonetic overlap between racist and Trump. I don't hear it when I say the words
Answer:
Apple has acknowledged a bug in its iPhone dictation feature where the word "racist" was briefly transcribed as "Trump" before correcting itself. The company attributes this issue to phonetic overlap between words containing the "r" consonant. citeturn0news10
Phonetic overlap refers to the similarity in the sounds of different words. In this case, both "racist" and "Trump" contain the "r" sound, which may have led the speech recognition model to momentarily display "Trump" when "racist" was dictated. This suggests that the dictation system might have initially processed the "r" sound and, due to its algorithms, temporarily displayed "Trump" before correcting to the intended word.
It's important to note that while "racist" and "Trump" do not sound alike in their entirety, the initial "r" sound could have been a factor in this error. Apple is working on a fix to address this issue. citeturn0news10
navlistApple addresses dictation bug replacing 'racist' with 'Trump'turn0news10,turn0news11,turn0news12
Prompt:
So if I understand correctly - it hears the r word first and because maybe with the frequency with which people are using the name Trump - it's the first guess that comes up. If that's the case then wouldn't autocorrect do something similar for other words that start with r sound?
Answer
Yes, you're understanding it correctly. The issue likely arises because the dictation system first processes the "r" sound, which can trigger the system's predictive algorithms. Since “Trump” is a common word in certain contexts, especially politically, it may be one of the first suggestions the system provides as part of its predictive text process. Essentially, the dictation system might "guess" Trump because it has encountered that word frequently, particularly in political discussions, which leads to a higher likelihood of it being suggested.
Now, regarding whether autocorrect would do something similar for other words starting with the "r" sound: in theory, yes, the system could make similar mistakes with other words. However, several factors could prevent this from happening as frequently:
Frequency of Occurrence: "Trump" may be a unique case in that it's both a very recognizable name (with frequent appearances in political discourse) and tied to highly charged terms like "racist." Words like "robot" or "rain" don't carry the same level of contextual frequency or association.
Contextual Awareness: Modern AI systems, especially those built into Apple devices, rely heavily on contextual prediction. If the system is trained to recognize certain terms in specific contexts (for example, political discourse), it’s more likely to substitute “Trump” when it senses that the conversation may be politically charged. Words like "robot" or "racist" wouldn't trigger the same kind of predictive behavior because they aren't as commonly associated with one another.
Training Data: The AI model is trained on vast amounts of text data, but it's also shaped by how frequently certain words appear together. Words that are used together often (e.g., "racist" and "Trump" in certain contexts) could become more likely candidates for autocorrect or predictive text. Other words that start with "r" (e.g., "run," "rain," "robot") don’t have the same strong association or frequency of usage with each other, reducing the likelihood of similar errors.
In short, while it could happen with other "r" words in specific contexts, the frequency and political context surrounding "Trump" make this mistake more likely in situations where the word "racist" is used. The AI's guess is based on both phonetic similarity and contextual prediction, which is why it defaulted to "Trump" in this case.
Prompt
Wait a second, so it's about context. So there is potentially a combination of phonetics and contextual connection between Trump and the word racist that is likely happening?
Answer:
Yes, exactly! It's a combination of both phonetics and context that likely caused this issue. Here's how the two factors come into play:
Phonetics: When you say "racist," the system may first detect the "r" sound and look for possible matches in its database. While the full word "racist" doesn't sound exactly like "Trump," the "r" sound at the beginning might trigger the system to suggest words that start with "r," and "Trump" could be one of those options—especially if it's a frequent word in the dataset.
Context: This is the key part. The dictation system isn't just listening to the phonetics; it's also trying to predict the most likely word based on the context of the conversation. Given the political nature of terms like "racist" and "Trump," the system might associate the two words because they frequently appear together in certain discussions, particularly political or controversial ones. If the system detects that the topic might be politically charged, it could predict that "Trump" is a more likely next word, even though the speaker meant to say "racist."
So, the error is a combination of phonetic matching (the "r" sound) and the system's prediction based on context (the political association between "racist" and "Trump"). This dual influence is likely why the system made that substitution.
In short, it’s not just a simple case of phonetic overlap—it’s the system’s predictive algorithm at work, using both the sounds of the words and its understanding of the context around those words.

love all the archival work! one question, sometimes (indeed most times) when i google certain quotes to find the source article, google cannot find anything. this quote from vale for example:
"In 2014, I and the others were "bombarded" with questions about Marquez. So I understood even more what my opponents must have felt in the past, because a rider never wants to talk about his rivals. It's also true, However, this is how the world of sport goes: people want to hear about the number one. Marquez now has the same media pressure that I had in the past."
the screenshot you provided is very clear and yet i cannot trace the words to anything whatsoever! and unfortunately this has happened enough times that i kind of have to ask… should i use a different search engine? or are there journal archives your frequent? and no hurries whatsoever i know this is a big ask… but i would appreciate any help!
oh this one's quick to answer haha I didn't even need to consult my notes - the article's here! the reason it doesn't come up immediately in search engines is that the original article was in italian, so I just threw the first sentence into google translate and. voila
I try to stick to the habit of providing sources and if I made that ranch post now, I would have properly put a list of sources at the bottom of the post lol. if you can't find a quote through a search engine, it's going to generally be for one of the following reasons:
the quote is from an article in a different language, typically italian or spanish (the german publication speedweek also gets used semi-regularly)
the quote is from a book, which I DO try to be extra diligent in providing a citation for that reason
the quote is from an article that is no longer available on the internet. it might be in my notes because I copied it there and, if I'm smart, I will have made sure I can still access the article using the wayback machine (which is sometimes what I use to find things in the first place). if I'm not smart, then my doc becomes the last reservoir of lost knowledge I suppose
the quote is transcribed from a video/podcast
I should also say that my notes aren't perfect since... well, most of them have existed a lot longer than me starting to blog on tumblr about motogp. there is just stuff I'll quickly pull from my lil mind maps or whatever when I post, which is where the 'being too lazy to give a source' thing sometimes comes in. when it's english language articles I'm not too bothered because I know people can find it pretty quickly with the use of a search engine if they are thus inclined; with the other stuff I'm trying to be more diligent. but yeah, unfortunately for three of those there's no great fix - the language one is the only one I can recommend. which, btw, if you're looking to do your own motogp research, this one is absolutely invaluable. there is a lot of stuff I've only found because I started searching for stuff using italian and spanish keywords. hope that helps!
#the different search engine thing can make a massive difference btw but usually only when you're going really deep into the archives#like sete era stuff makes you completely lose faith google. but if you're interested in marc era that's easy mode#given how many articles i take from italian and spanish sources i do think (1) accounts for like. most of these#(3) is obviously extremely not ideal but well. here we are#//#brr brr#batsplat responds#there is one 2009 interview from casey where he's so OBVIOUSLY in a bad mood and it's just hit after hit against europeans#and i only have access because an unrelated article linked to it so i could use the wayback machine#and it's like. to me it's a top five casey interview like it genuinely makes me giggle every time#the thought i might not have it in my life... stop deleting things omg#//brr brr

Google, in particular, updates its algorithm multiple times a year, which means that what worked yesterday may not work today.
To stay on top of these changes, it's crucial to keep yourself informed through industry blogs, forums, newsletters, and conferences.
Keep following the blogs of Ahrefs, Semrush, Search Engine Round Table, Search Engine Journal, and Search Engine Land to get yourself updated.
“Because SEO is a dynamic field that involves frequent algorithm updates and evolving best practices, you’ll need to continue your SEO education and keep up with industry changes” – Semrush
2. Conducting Keyword Research:
Another challenge is keyword research. Choosing the right keywords is essential for optimizing your website's content and driving organic traffic.
However, finding the right balance between high search volume and low competition can be tricky.
To overcome this challenge, I suggest using premium keyword research tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, Long Tail Pro, or Keyword Tool to identify relevant keywords with high search volume and low competition.
You might also get some initial keyword research and content ideas from using other SEO tools like Google Keyword Planner, Answer The Public, Also Asked, and Exploding Topics.
You can further supplement your efforts using Quora, and Reddit platforms for most SEO-burning issues discussed, commented, and shared via their forums and communities respectively.
“Your keyword research should go beyond merely evaluating search volume and keyword difficulty to discovering the intent, topical galaxy, audience characteristics, and place in the buyer’s journey for every keyword” – seoClarity
3. Monitoring Technical SEO Issues:
Technical SEO issues can also pose a significant challenge. This includes problems like slow page speed, broken links, indexing errors, duplicate content, and mobile-friendliness.
These issues not only affect your website's user experience but also impact your search engine rankings.
To tackle technical SEO challenges, perform regular audits of your website using tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs Webmaster Tools, Semrush, or Screaming Frog.
Address any issues that are identified promptly.
“Technical SEO, in its basic form, is ensuring your website has a good technical standing so search engines can crawl, index and rank it well” – SEOTesting
4. Creating High-Quality Content:
Creating high-quality content is another challenge in SEO.
Gone are the days when keyword stuffing could get you to rank higher on search engine results pages (SERPs). Today, search engines prioritize content that provides value to users.
To overcome this challenge, focus on creating informative, valuable, and engaging content that solves your target audience's problems.
Incorporate relevant keywords naturally and aim for content that covers topics comprehensively. Long-form content at all times is not necessary.
Unless the search intent is met as required, even short-form blog posts and articles serve the purpose.
Always focus on people-first approach content than SEO-first approach content, though you can optimize later.
“To excel in today’s evolving digital landscape, content creators must produce high-quality content that provides value and captures their target audience’s attention” – Search Engine Journal
5. Link Building or Backlinks:
Link building is yet another SEO challenge. Building high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites is crucial for improving your website's authority and rankings.
However, acquiring these backlinks can be time-consuming and challenging. To overcome this challenge, focus on creating link-worthy content that others would naturally want to link to.
Additionally, engage in guest blogging opportunities or collaborate with influencers in your industry to earn valuable backlinks.
Engaging in buying backlinks goes against Google's rules, and this approach might not be effective in the long run.
On the other hand, building links through genuine relationships is becoming more valuable and influential nowadays.
Internal linking between relevant website pages or blog posts is also important to remember for better search engine rankings.
“According to Aira’s State of Link Building report, guest blogging is the third most popular link building strategy, with 47% of surveyed SEOs using it as their go-to” – Ahrefs
6. Measuring SEO Performance:
Measuring and analyzing SEO performance can be a challenge.
It's important to track key metrics such as organic traffic, bounce rate, conversion rate, keyword rankings, and any others based on your business-specific to assess the effectiveness of your SEO efforts.
Utilize tools like Google Analytics [GA-4] and Google Search Console [GSC] to gain insights into these metrics and make data-driven decisions.
In fact, according to many SEO experts, using these tools frequently will help you remain ahead by giving you more content ideas, allowing you to establish new SEO benchmarks, and monitoring a variety of user engagement behaviors.
Personally, I regularly check my GSC account to see which keywords my website is ranking for and to come up with fresh ideas for blog posts, and increasing my topical authority.
“Organic traffic (42% votes), followed by conversions (37% votes) and rankings (14% votes) are the top 3 metrics that are most effective in measuring SEO performance” – The State of Technical SEO Report 2023 from Aira & Women in Tech SEO
7. Influence of AI Search Generative Experience [SGE]:
You may know that search engines such as Google and Bing have incorporated AI into their search processes.
While this is still being developed and experimented with, certain bloggers, SEO experts, and website owners have noticed lower click-through rates (CTRs) and decreased organic traffic.
This is because AI-generated search or Search Generative Experience (SGE) results are taking up some of the visibility that was previously directed toward their content.
Simply put, organic results are further pushed down, which reduces the visibility of information. Although SGE doesn't affect every niche-based keyword or phrase, the search landscape is evolving.
Currently, it's necessary to get ready to adapt to this situation.
To enhance the visibility of your website content, focus on generating high-quality content and incorporating a variety of visual elements such as images, infographics, and embedded videos.
“SGE is still in its experimental stage, and many web and SEO marketers are still figuring out how generative AI can impact marketers and users in the future” – HubSpot
Pro-Tip: Make your website or blog mobile-friendly or mobile-optimized and, [if necessary], hire an SEO professional or agency to meet your business-specific needs, and get optimum results.
That being said, SEO isn't a "quick fix" for ranking; it's an ongoing process that requires constant effort and monitoring.
“Search results differ drastically between mobile and desktop. Google recently moved to mobile-first indexing, reflecting the importance and predominance of mobile compared to desktop” – Conductor

In conclusion, SEO challenges are part and parcel of the ever-evolving digital landscape.
By staying up-to-date with algorithm changes, conducting thorough keyword research, addressing technical issues promptly, creating valuable content, building high-quality backlinks, measuring SEO performance effectively, and sailing through SGE, you can overcome these challenges, and achieve your SEO goals.
Remember, persistence and adaptability are key in this dynamic field.

By Webigg Technology
In the evolving world of digital marketing, few tools offer the long-term impact and compounding value that strategic blogging does. At Webigg Technology, we help brands use blogging not just as a content tactic, but as a powerful engine for SEO, engagement, lead generation, and trust-building.
Here’s why blogging remains a cornerstone of successful digital marketing strategies in 2025 and beyond:
1. Blogging Drives Targeted Website Traffic
Blogging is a critical driver of organic traffic—and it starts with visibility. With 93% of online experiences beginning with a search engine, appearing in relevant search results is non-negotiable. Regular, keyword-rich blog content signals to search engines that your site is active, relevant, and worth ranking.
Here’s how blogging boosts your SEO and traffic:
Frequent indexing by search engines due to consistent content updates
Improved rankings for long-tail keywords and niche topics
Fresh content signals that enhance domain authority and relevance
Think of your blog as a digital publication that consistently delivers value. At Webigg, we create editorial calendars that align content with both search demand and user intent, ensuring that each blog works double duty for SEO and conversion.
2. Blogging Generates High-Quality Leads
It’s not just about traffic—it’s about attracting the right visitors and guiding them through your funnel. When optimized properly, your blog becomes a lead generation engine, converting visitors into subscribers, inquiries, or sales.
Here’s how we do it at Webigg:
Strategic CTAs throughout the blog: top, middle, and end
Gated content like guides and whitepapers to capture lead info
Content repurposing and distribution across social media and email
A blog post should never be a dead end. With the right conversion strategy, each blog is an opportunity to turn a reader into a lead—and eventually, a customer.
3. Blogging Builds Brand Authority
Today’s buyers want to work with experts. They want insights, not just promotions. Blogging allows your brand to demonstrate subject matter authority, answer complex questions, and provide solutions that educate your audience.
🧠 According to the CMO Council, 90% of B2B buyers say online content influences their purchasing decisions—and 96% seek out trusted thought leaders before they buy.
To position your brand as an authority, our blog strategies focus on:
Solving real-world problems your audience faces
Sharing data-backed insights, trends, and tutorials
Writing FAQ-driven content to address buyer hesitation
We don’t just write blogs—we build trust through education, consistency, and credibility.
4. Blogging Establishes Trust with Your Audience
Trust is the currency of digital marketing. People are more likely to do business with brands that are transparent, authentic, and helpful. Well-written blog content creates this connection.
Webigg helps clients build trust through content by:
Using social proof, like case studies and testimonials
Addressing pricing, pros & cons, and even competitor comparisons
Being transparent about what your product/service can—and can’t—do
When your brand openly discusses real concerns and offers honest solutions, you’re not just selling—you’re building relationships.
5. Blogging Shapes Your Brand Identity
Content gives your brand a voice. It humanizes your business and creates emotional resonance. Blogging helps convey your company values, culture, and vision—essential elements for connecting with today’s conscious consumers.
✔️ In fact, 82% of people feel more positive about a brand after reading custom content that aligns with their values and needs.

How to Use Market Research to Validate Your Business Idea

Every successful business starts with a great idea. However, even the most innovative concepts can fail if they don’t meet a real market need. This is where market research becomes invaluable. Conducting thorough research before launching a business not only reduces risks but also increases the likelihood of success. Here’s how to effectively use market research to validate your business idea.
1. Understand the Purpose of Market Research
Market research is the process of gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information about your target audience, competitors, and industry. It helps answer key questions:
Is there a demand for your product or service?
Who are your potential customers?
How saturated is the market?
What pricing strategy will work?
2. Define Your Target Audience
Before diving into research, identify who you aim to serve. Create a detailed profile of your ideal customer, considering factors like:
Demographics: Age, gender, income level, education.
Psychographics: Interests, values, lifestyles.
Buying Behavior: Purchasing habits, pain points, and preferred shopping methods.
3. Conduct Primary Research
Primary research involves collecting firsthand data directly from your target audience. Here are some methods:
Surveys and Questionnaires: Use tools like Google Forms or SurveyMonkey to gather opinions on your product idea.
Interviews: Conduct one-on-one interviews to gain deeper insights into customer needs and preferences.
Focus Groups: Bring together a small group of people from your target audience to discuss your concept.
Test Marketing: Launch a minimum viable product (MVP) to gauge market interest before committing to a full-scale rollout.
4. Leverage Secondary Research
Secondary research involves analyzing existing data, such as industry reports, government publications, or competitor analysis. Sources include:
Market Research Firms: Reports from Nielsen, Statista, or IBISWorld provide valuable insights.
Government Data: Census and economic data offer a broad overview of market trends.
Competitor Analysis: Study your competitors’ strategies, strengths, and weaknesses to identify gaps your business can fill.
5. Analyze Competitor Strategies
Competitor research is a crucial part of validating your business idea. Investigate:
Products or Services: What do they offer, and how does it differ from your concept?
Customer Reviews: Identify gaps in customer satisfaction that you can address.
Marketing Tactics: Assess their online presence, advertising campaigns, and branding strategies.
6. Assess Market Demand
Use tools and platforms to measure the demand for your idea:
Google Trends: Analyze search trends to determine if there’s interest in your product or service.
Social Media: Platforms like Twitter and Reddit can provide real-time feedback on consumer preferences.
Keyword Research: Tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs can help identify popular search terms related to your business idea.
7. Evaluate Feasibility and Scalability
Market research should also help you determine if your idea is feasible and scalable. Consider:
Cost Analysis: Will your pricing model cover costs and generate profit?
Market Size: Is there a large enough audience to sustain long-term growth?
Growth Potential: Can the idea be expanded to new markets or demographics?
8. Iterate Based on Feedback
Market research is not a one-time process. Use the data collected to refine your idea. Adjust features, pricing, or marketing strategies to better align with market needs.
Real-Life Example: Dropbox
Dropbox began with a simple explainer video showcasing its concept. This MVP allowed them to gauge interest without building the full product. The overwhelming positive response validated their idea, leading to its successful launch.
Conclusion
Market research is a critical step in turning your business idea into a viable venture. By understanding your audience, analyzing competitors, and assessing demand, you can reduce risks and build a strong foundation for success. Don’t skip this step—it could be the difference between a thriving business and a failed venture.

Why Long Form Content is the Secret Weapon for SEO Success
Introduction: The Shift Toward Depth in Digital Content
In today’s fast-paced digital world, short-form content may seem convenient, but it often falls short when it comes to delivering value, building authority, and ranking well on search engines. As Google’s algorithms evolve, they increasingly favor comprehensive, insightful, and well-structured content — in other words, long form content.
What is Long Form Content and Why It Works
Unlike short blogs that merely scratch the surface, Long Form Content dives deep into topics, often exceeding 1,500 to 2,000 words. It provides readers with a complete understanding of a subject, answers multiple related queries, and keeps them engaged longer. This higher dwell time, combined with keyword depth and backlinks, signals to Google that the content is both relevant and authoritative.
The SEO Advantages of Long Form Content
1. Higher Keyword Density Without Stuffing
With more words, there’s naturally more room to include primary, secondary, and long-tail keywords organically. This allows your content to rank for multiple related search terms without sounding forced or spammy.
2. Increased Time on Page
Long form articles offer more value, encouraging users to spend more time reading. This “dwell time” is a positive user engagement signal to search engines and can directly impact your rankings.
3. More Opportunities for Backlinks
Comprehensive posts are often cited by other bloggers, news outlets, and publications. The depth of long form content makes it a go-to resource, naturally attracting backlinks over time.
Long Form Content Builds Trust and Authority
When you invest in writing detailed, well-researched posts, your audience begins to trust your brand. They see you as a subject matter expert. This trust is especially valuable in competitive industries like finance, health, education, and marketing.
For example, if someone is researching “how to start a blog,” a 300-word overview won’t satisfy their curiosity. But a 2,500-word guide covering platforms, themes, SEO basics, and monetization options will not only answer their questions but may also encourage them to bookmark and share the article.
How to Create Effective Long Form Content
1. Start with a Clear Structure
Break your content into logical sections using H2 and H3 headings. Add a table of contents if necessary. This makes it easier for both readers and search engines to navigate the post.
2. Answer Multiple User Intents
Think like a searcher. What other questions might someone have while reading your article? Address those within the same post to make it a one-stop resource.
3. Include Visuals and Data
Enhance engagement with images, infographics, charts, and statistics. These elements make long content feel less intimidating and more digestible.
4. Add Internal and External Links
Internal linking improves site navigation and SEO. External links to credible sources increase trustworthiness. Together, they enhance the overall quality of the content.
Common Mistakes to Avoid in Long Form Articles
Even though long form content has many benefits, certain missteps can reduce its effectiveness:
Fluff and repetition: Every section should add unique value. Avoid restating the same points just to hit a word count.
Poor formatting: Long paragraphs and no headings make your post hard to read. Use bullet points, images, and short paragraphs.
Neglecting mobile optimization: A growing portion of users consume content on mobile. Ensure your formatting is responsive and mobile-friendly.
Real Examples of Long Form Content That Works
Many high-ranking websites have used long form content to great success. HubSpot, for instance, consistently publishes in-depth guides and marketing reports that are widely shared and linked to across the web. Similarly, Neil Patel’s blog features detailed marketing tutorials that dominate search results in their categories.
Why Long Form is the Future of Content Marketing
Content marketing isn’t just about churning out posts — it’s about creating meaningful experiences for your readers. Long form articles do exactly that. They educate, inform, and entertain while giving your website the SEO boost it needs.
In an era where trust, relevance, and authority matter more than ever, long form content provides a competitive advantage that short posts simply can’t match. Whether you’re a startup looking to establish your voice or an established brand wanting to improve online visibility, long form is your most powerful tool.
Conclusion: Build Authority One Word at a Time
If you’re serious about SEO, traffic, and online credibility, long form content is no longer optional — it’s essential. From improved rankings to better user engagement, the benefits are far-reaching and long-lasting. Embrace the strategy that brings depth, trust, and visibility to your brand.

10 Steps to follow to Optimize Webpage as per (Answer Engine Optimization)
✅ 1. Understand User Intent (Especially Question-Based)
Identify what questions your target audience is asking.
Use tools like:
AlsoAsked.com
Answer the Public
Google’s "People Also Ask"
Semrush/ Ahrefs → Questions in Keyword Explorer
✅ 2. Use FAQ-style Content and Q&A Format
Answer specific questions in short, clear, direct answers (40–60 words) followed by detailed explanations.
Use H2/H3 for questions and answers right below them.
<h2>What is AEO in SEO?</h2>
<p>AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) is the process of optimizing content so that search engines can directly provide answers to users' queries, especially in featured snippets and voice search results.</p>
✅ 3. Optimize for Featured Snippets
Use common snippet formats:
Paragraphs: Direct, 40–60 word answers.
Lists: Use or for steps, how-tos.
Example with <ol> (Ordered List)
If someone searches “How to optimize for AEO,” you can write:
<h2>How to Optimize for AEO</h2>
<ol>
<li>Identify user questions using tools like AnswerThePublic.</li>
<li>Answer questions in short, clear sentences.</li>
<li>Use structured data like FAQ schema.</li>
<li>Add Q&A sections using H2 or H3 headings.</li>
</ol>
Example with <ul> (Unordered List)
For a list that doesn’t require order, like tools:
<h2>Best Tools for AEO</h2>
<ul>
<li>AlsoAsked</li>
<li>AnswerThePublic</li>
<li>Google Search Console</li>
<li>Semrush or Ahrefs</li>
</ul>
Tables: For comparisons or data.
Definitions: Clearly define terms with bold formatting or tags.
✅ 4. Use Structured Data (Schema Markup)
Implement relevant schema to help search engines understand and present your content:
FAQPage schema
HowTo schema
QAPage schema
Article or BlogPosting
Use Google’s Rich Results Test to validate
✅ 5. Build Topical Authority
Cover the full range of questions around a topic.
Create content clusters or topic hubs.
Interlink related content using contextual anchor texts.
✅ 7. Improve Technical SEO for AEO
Fast page speed
Mobile-friendly design
Crawlable and well-structured HTML
Logical heading hierarchy (H1 > H2 > H3, etc.)
✅ 8. Optimize for Voice Search
Use conversational language
Answer "who," "what," "when," "where," "why," and "how" queries
Prioritize local intent where applicable (especially for businesses)
✅ 9. Use Clear, Natural Language
Avoid jargon unless targeting a technical audience.
Use active voice, short sentences, and easy readability (aim for Grade 6–8 level).
📌 What It Means:
1. Avoid Jargon (unless necessary)
Don't use complex or technical terms unless your audience is expecting them.
If you must use them, explain them in simple terms.
❌ Example (too technical):
"Optimize your canonicalization strategy via server-side directives."
✅ AEO-friendly version:
"Make sure search engines only index one version of a page by setting the correct canonical URL."
2. Use Active Voice
Active voice is more direct, clear, and engaging.
❌ Passive Voice:
"The content was optimized by the SEO team."
✅ Active Voice:
"The SEO team optimized the content."
3. Short Sentences
Keep sentences under 20 words where possible.
One idea per sentence is best.
❌ Long sentence:
"To ensure your website content is found easily by users and featured in rich results, it is important to optimize it using structured data and clearly written content."
✅ AEO-optimized version:
"Use structured data. Write clearly so search engines can understand and feature your content."
4. Easy Readability (Grade 6–8 level)
Most people (and AI systems) prefer content written at a middle school reading level.
Tools like Hemingway Editor or Grammarly help check readability.
Tip: Use common words like:
“Start” instead of “commence”
“Help” instead of “assist”
“Use” instead of “utilize”
✅ Why This Helps AEO
Voice assistants and featured snippets favor quick, clear answers.
AI systems extract and present your content more accurately when it’s clean and direct.
Improves user experience, reducing bounce rates.
✅ 10. Keep Content Updated
Regularly refresh content with updated facts and figures.
Update answers to reflect the latest knowledge and guidelines.
